\"\"The friendship between the famous local artist and Grappa Artisan Romano Levi from nearby Neive goes back to 1998. Renato Ponte was in the prestigious local wine school, Enologica Albese.<\/h3>\n

He and his classmates were working on a school publication called Numero Unico.<\/p>\n

Renato went to Levi\u2019s little distillery where Romano routinely designed hand-drawn labels for his marvelous grappas. He asked Levi if he would draw a design for the magazine ENOTRIA 1998. Levi was honored and created a special cover for the publication.<\/p>\n

Remaining friendly with Renato, Romano Levi designed a hand-drawn label for our Barbera d\u2019Asti D.O.C.G. Superiore<\/strong> wine with interchangeable numbers for vintages well beyond the year 2000, the first vintage of this much sought-after wine.
\nThe simple, yet colorful labels depicts our hills and the wildflowers found in our area. The small house clearly has a fireplace and Levi told us this shows there\u2019s life, family and the conviviality of the family. This is the magic path of life in our little corner of the planet.<\/p>\n

In 2007 Levi, ever creative, offered us another label design and this you\u2019ll find on our Arneis D.O.C.G.<\/strong> white wine. The label features the Donna Selvatica, a mysterious creature you\u2019ll find in many of Romano\u2019s artistic endeavors. This translates to a \u201cWild Woman,\u201d who\u2019s got the magical ability to capture a man\u2019s heart. She is the woman every man would like to meet and cherish.<\/p>\n
